I’m So Glad

“So fine, not to worry about tomorrow today. You gave it to me.”

In January of this year, I began work with Bo McGee on writing and recording a bonus track for “Bridges,” the EP that we released back in September of 2024. In anticipation, we are creating lyric videos for the remaining songs on the EP for viewing on the Living Stones Unearthed YouTube channel. The first is the EP’s opening track, “I’m So Glad.”

“I’m So Glad,” was written back in 1990 as part of four songs that I recorded on a borrowed Tascam 4 track cassette recording machine using my newly traded for Fernades Stratocaster and a Tom Shultz Rockman. For me it has always been an expression of joy and the release that I felt being rescued by a faithful God from the life of destruction that I had made. As hard and fast as I ran away from the truth, God would continue to show up. I felt pursued.

Amazingly, the recording for the EP is pretty close to the original 4-track demo. On a side note, Cindi always heard this song with a R&B Stevie Wonder feel. Stay tuned.

I still have the original cassette demo, but not the pain.
